| Here
are some of our most frequently asked questions: |
|
|
|
Q.
What age are people in the group?
A.
Most people are between the ages of 25 to 55 +. Our group is for
anyone over 18. Many people also join who are younger or older
then the age range listed. The only prerequisite is that you be
a Single Nature Lover.
|
|
Q.
Do I have to be Single to join your group?
A.
99% of the people in our group are Single. Some people have partners
who do not like walking, so they are also classified as Single
Nature Lovers. All we ask is that you let us know your are attached
during our introduction circle at the beginning of the walk. Couples
who have met on our walks are also welcome to continue.

Q.
Can I bring my dog with me?
A.
We ask everyone to please leave their pets at home since some
of the locations we visit do not allow them. In addition, some
people are apprehensive about dogs and others are allergic. Thanks
for your consideration. Come on out and walk some people!

Q.
What is the money used for? Walking is a Free activity.
A.
I was once attacked in a park. (I fought and got away. See about
us - New Articles) The group was started in 1990 to congregate
a group of people so we could provide each other with "safety
in numbers". The funds are used for administration costs,
telephone lines, printed material, stamps, ads, webpage etc. All
the costs required to keep a group running. Thank you for your
support of our group.

|
Q.
I am a smoker. Can I participate?
A.
We ask that smokers try at all times to smoke in an area away
from the group. Again, some people are allergic. If you must smoke
during the walk please do so at the very back. (Some people are
very sensitive to smoke in the air.) In addition, please try to
contain the spent butts and discard them in a nearby garbage.
Please help keep our nature trails clean.

Q.
I want to become a Member this weekend, but know I can't make the
next walk. Will you count this as a cancellation?
A.
No, you can write down 2 away dates on your form in advance and
I will notify the computer that you should not be placed on the
list for those particular walk dates in advance. These dates MUST
however be submitted at the time of registration. Afterwards any
readjusting work is considered to be a cancellations.
|
|
Q.
What Happens if I do not show up for the walk at all and do not cancel
in advance?
A.
Please remember we wait for everyone on the list to show up. If
we end up waiting for you it will count as a walk.
|
|
Q.
I only have Sundays free? OR I only have Saturdays free?
A.
No problem. Just check off the "Sunday only option"
or the "Saturday only option". I will make sure your
name is only placed on the Saturday only lists or the Sunday only
lists.
|
|
Q.
I can't make it to the walk on time, can I meet the group for dinner?
A.
Yes, if you have pre-registered for the walk. The social after
the walk is part of that day's event. The dinner gathering will
count as one of your walks.
|
|
Q.
Can I just come to the restaurant and register? I would enjoy having
dinner with the walkers?
A.
If you plan on doing that it is best to let me know in advance.
If you contribute your funds at dinner to support our group that
would be fine. The funds really pay to congregate a group whether
it be in a park, in a restaurant or in any other venue or group
activity. Thanks again for your support of our group.
